I believe this is something that doesn’t cross many people’s mind when planning on getting a pet. Which is really unfortunate since it’s an easy way of saving lives. As recently as the day before yesterday I got the message from a friend about a person/family taking their perfectly healthy puppy to the veterinary because they wanted to put it to death since he/she was a “wrong buy”. Fortunately the veterinary was allowed to search for a new home for the 8 weeks old dog. Today I was happy to hear that he/she had found a new home. Please consider saving a life before getting your “own” pet. All lives deserve a proper chance!
